Zandla Wright Obituary

It is with sympathy, the management and staff of Slater's Funeral Home, Inc. announce the passing of Ms. Zandla Wright, Milledgeville, Georgia. Ms. Wright passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2023.

Graveside services were held on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at 11:00 AM from the Scenic Memorial Gardens, Milledgeville, Georgia. 

Family and friends hosted a Celebration of Life Memorial on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at 7:00 PM from the First Baptist Church of Eatonton, Eatonton, Georgia. 

Miss Zandla Moran Wright was born October 23, 1979 in Milledgeville, Georgia to the late Mrs. Mamie Louise Wright and Mr. Charles Wright.

She was educated in the Baldwin County Public School system.  Zandla attended Georgia College and received a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education in 2019 from Ashford University.

Zandla LOVED children and worked for Stepping Stones Learning Center in Eatonton, Georgia from 2005 to present. She was a hard worker and hated missing work because she loved nurturing the growth of children. Her SSLC manager & coworkers were like family and rallied around her.

Zandla enjoyed working out at Total Fitness of Milledgeville, reading books, watching YouTube videos and movies with History pieces being her favorite. She loved having lunch with her friends and shopping online!  

Zandla looked forward to her weekly bible study and attending church on Saturday at Eatonton Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, her four uncles: Elton Stanley, Walter Stanley Sr., Harold Stanley Sr. and Bernard Stanley, two aunts; Carolyn Stanley Edwards and Willetta Stanley.

Zandla will be cherished in memory by her aunts; Ms. Bettye Stanley Mitchell (Richmond, Virginia), Ms. Annette Stanley (Milledgeville, Georgia) and one Great Aunt; Mrs. Lillian Logan (Macon, Georgia). Three childhood best friends, Krissandra Hurt (Cousin), LaVieta Hill and Chasity Fraley, Three work besties; Kela Standifer, Melinda Lombas and Camyia Farley, a devoted best friend, Johnny Hodges, a special friend, Melvin and a host of cousins, friends and community members.
