Willie Spikes

Mr. Willie Spikes, of Haddock, Georgia passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2020 at his residence.

Funeral services were held privately with family.

Willie was born in Milledgeville, Georgia to the parentage of the late Leon Spikes, Jr. and Hattie L. Spikes. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Leon Spikes, III.

Willie was a lifelong mechanic and a true outdoorsman who enjoyed planting fruits and vegetables, fishing and especially deer hunting. He was a big jokester who could be counted on to bring laughter to any situation. Well, that is unless the Atlanta Braves lost. He was a die-hard Braves fan.

Willie is survived by his loving and devoted wife Jackie Holloway; seven children: Amanda (Gerald) Patterson, Belinda (Steven) Thomaston, Travis Spikes, Kimberely Spikes, Felicia Spikes, Aminisha Holloway, and Marlon (Jessica) Spikes; one sister, Mary (Johnny C.) Spikes-Ford; five brothers: Wilbur (Kathy) Spikes, Earnest (Cynthia) Spikes, Charles Spikes, all of Milledgville, GA, Emmett (Linda) Spikes of El Paso, TX and Chester Spikes of Oakland, CA; 10 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
