Mr. Willie Parks, Jr., of 320 Minter Drive, Warner Robins, Georgia departed this life on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at his residence.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at 1:00 PM from the Oak Grove Baptist Church, Milledgeville, Georgia. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
On February 7, 1955 in Milledgeville, Georgia, a son was born to the Union of the late Willie Lee Parks Sr and the late Betty Louise Moore Parks. He was the second son of 13 children. One sister preceded him in death.
During his life, he was baptized at Oak Grove Baptist Church by Pastor Colby McKenzie. He was a watch member at Oak Level Baptist Church in Warner Robins, Ga. He received his education from the Baldwin County School System where he played football and graduated with the class of 1974. After graduation, he attained employment at JP Stevens Manufacture for many years until it closed. He was later employed by Rheem Manufacture for many years. Willie had many hobbies that he enjoyed such as: Fishing, watching sports, listening to music, and spending time with his family. His favorite song was “My Soul Been Anchored In The Lord”.
On Wednesday March 11, 2020 the Lord gave him his wings and called him home, He gave him his resting place in his heavenly kingdom, but he left his survivors on earth to carry on.
Survivors include: Devoted sons, Arlando Parks (Tony) of Brooklyn, New York, Willie Lee Parks III (Lakisha) of Milledgeville, Georgia; Daughters: Shanae L. Robinson (Ozell) of Kennesaw, Georgia, Nevada Ingram (Daniel) of Dallas, Georgia; devoted companion, Delphine Williams; Siblings: Devoted Sisters, Bettye B. Johnson and Naomi Badmus of Warner Robins, Georgia, Julia Young, Lisa Edet and Sherry Massey of Syracuse, New York, Lora A. Brown of Milledgeville, Georgia, Brothers: John Brown and Michael Parks (Jacqueline) of Syracuse, New York, Jesse Parks (Denise) of Geneva, New York, Alvin Brown (Della) of Milledgeville, Georgia, and Phillip Parks of Sparta, Georgia; a host of grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives survives him.
