It is with sympathy, the management and staff of Slater's Funeral Home, Inc. announce the passing of Mr. Willie Ingram Jr., Milledgeville, Georgia. Mr. Ingram passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2023.
Funeral Services were held on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at 11:00AM from the Victory Baptist Church, Milledgeville, Georgia. Interment followed from the St. Paul Baptist Church Cemetery, Milledgeville, Georgia.
Mr. Willie Ingram, Jr. was born January 31, 1937, in Milledgeville, GA to the late Mr. Willie Ingram, Sr. and Mrs. Lizzie Corine Ingram. He quietly went home to be with the Lord on August 16, 2023.
Willie worked at Fowler Flemister for forty-two years and was also employed at the Board of Education for seventeen years in the transportation department as a school bus driver. He finally retired from work at the age of eighty years old.
His hobbies included movies, motorcycle riding, cowboy pictures, good food, and conversion with his niece, Barbara Taylor. But most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Susie Mae Stevenson and his son, Michael Spears.
He leaves behind his wife, Jeanette D. Ingram, whom he was married to for thirty-two years. He also leaves behind the following children, Mrs. Sandra (Stanley) Walton of Atlanta, GA, Emma Byron of Milledgeville, GA, Maple Axom, Mrs. Gloria (Sanford) Butts, Monica Jones, Rhonda Ingram, Theresa Hill, Randy Mosley, all of Milledgeville, GA, Renae Fraley, Julian Ingram, both of Atlanta, GA, Willie Eugene (Sharon) Ingram of Greensboro, GA, Tony Goodman of Sparta, GA, Gerald Ingram of Cairo, GA; a host of other children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, nieces & nephews.
