Willie L. Ingram

It is with sympathy, the management and staff of Slater’s Funeral Home, Inc. announce the passing of Mr. Willie L. Ingram, 66, of Sparta, Georgia. Mr. Ingram passed away on Monday, November 22, 2021.

Graveside services were held on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 11:00 AM from the Hickory Cemetery, Sparta, Georgia.

Willie L. Ingram was born on August 10, 1955, in Sparta, GA to the beloved Ben and Josie Ingram, Jr. On November 22, 2022, Willie gained his wings. Willie was an active member at Second Beulah Baptist Church. He attended Hancock Central High School and graduated class of 1973. Willie was employed with Concord Manufacturing at the age of nineteen. He left to work for Central State Hospital where he was employed there for 20 years and later promoted to pest control with Central State Hospital and did 10 more years, then retired with 30 years there. He will always be remembered by that “BIG SMILE”. Willie was preceded in death by his sisters, Stella Harrington, and Letha Ingram Reese; brothers, Alvin, Tommie, J.W., and Bennie Ingram. He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving and devoted wife of 20 plus years, Joann Tucker Ingram of Sparta, GA; children, Tramaine (Deyandra) Tucker of Sandersville, GA and Dewayne Pinkston of Milledgeville, GA; brothers, Leo, Jessie (Ramona) Ingram of Sparta, GA, Lucious (Mary), Marcus (Linda) Ingram of Milledgeville, GA; one aunt, Eunice Dixon of Sparta, GA; parents-in-law, Jessie Lee (Jessie Mae) Tucker of Milledgeville, GA; sisters-in[1]law, Debra, Vicki Tucker of Milledgeville, GA; Patricia Justice, Betty Davis Ingram of Sparta, GA; brothers-in-law, Michael (Joann), Anthony (Ticha) Tucker of Milledgeville, GA; grandchildren, Cayson Tucker, Khylan Smith, Elijah Tucker, and Noah Tucker, all of Sandersville, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and devoted friends.
