Willie Hill, III

Mr. Willie Hill, III, of Milledgeville, Georgia entered into eternal rest on Friday, May 21, 2021 at his residence.

Graveside services were held on Friday, May 28, 2021 at 11:00 AM from the David B. Hill Family Cemetery.

Willie “Beebop” Hill III, age 70 was born on July 25, 1950 in Milledgeville, Georgia. He peacefully passed away after a courageous battle with cancer at his home on May 21, 2021, surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor his legacy. He was a 1968 graduate of J. F Boddie High School. He is preceded in death by his beloved parents Willie Hill, Jr. and Dora Andrews Hill, devoted sister Brenda Hill Foston, and legendary brother Leroy Hill. Beebop married Barbara “Penny” Pearson on September 10, 1972. This marriage was indeed a match made in heaven that have truly stood the test of time for over 48 years. Beebop had a deep love for his wife and children. He valued family including extended family. His eyes would light up when his grandchildren were around. Beebop took fashion cues from no one. His signature every day look was all his: long beard, plaid shirt, overall or khaki pants, brogan shoes and a cap. Beebop loved nature and the simplest pleasures of life. Talking about nature, working the farm and preparing horse feed were the essence of his being and were the happiest days of Beebop's life. Beebop worked many jobs in his lifetime. His love of farming and his entrepreneurial spirit led him to start his own feed business “W&B Farms”. He was a shrewd businessman. His horse feed business flourished, and he had numerous clients that would only buy feed from him. He worked long tireless hours and traveled many miles to please his clients at the same time he was teaching his children the value of having a strong work ethic. Until they finished High School, Beebop's children worked long hours right beside him. He was a good provider and a dedicated father. These special memories of Beebop will be cherished by his wife and children and passed on for generations to come. Beebop will be lovingly remembered and cherished by his wife Barbara Pearson Hill; children: Willie Hill IV, of Lizella, Georgia; Ashley (John) Williams, of Macon, Georgia, Jason (Anesia) Hill, of Milledgeville, Georgia; 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; brothers: Kenneth (Deborah) Hill; Roger (Bernestine) Hill, of Haddock, Georgia; Sisters: Shirley (Eddie) Robinson, of Milledgeville, Georgia; Rose (Hollis) Smith, of Smyrna, TN; Pamela (Eddie) Arnold, of Milledgeville, Georgia; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other family and friends.
