William Deon Hooks

William Deon Hooks departed this life on January 13, 2024, leaving a legacy of love, kindness, and helpfulness.

Deon graduated from Washington County High School, Sandersville, GA, in 2000. He was the president of his class. After graduating, he served in the United States Marine Corps. He graduated from West Georgia University and was employed by the Macon Housing Authority.

Deon made a quality decision to make Jesus the Lord of his life, and joined the Saint James Christian Fellowship. He was a faithful member and could always be counted on to help in the ministry in whatever capacity he was needed. He was one of the media technicians at the church and worked in the sound room with a spirit of excellence. He also helped with the youth ministry.

He loved to play pickleball and was a member of the Pickleball Club in Sandersville, GA.

Deon was predeceased by his grandparents, Samuel J. Harris, Sr., and Christine E Harris.

He is survived by his loving mother, Minister Evelyn Baldwin; brother, Darrell K. Baldwin, Jr.; father, William Hooks; several brothers and sisters, uncles and aunts, cousins, and friends.
