Mr. Walter Ingram of Gray departed us on October 21, 2021, at Piedmont Medical Center in Macon, Georgia.

Walter was born on November 18, 1961, in Chicago, Illinois. In 1973 he relocated to Milledgeville, Ga with his mother the late Rose Ingram, whom he dedicated his childhood and adulthood caring for. He graduated from Baldwin High School in 1979 and joined the Army right after graduating, serving our country for 4 years.

Walter was always a hard worker with many passions and pharmacology was one. His time working at Baldwin County Hospital pharmacy was short lived before he took interest in truck driving. Trucking became his love because he was able to fulfill another dream of his, which was to travel. He valued the time spent with family, always making sure he attended graduations, birthday parties, holiday events and games of his son, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Walter spoke frequently about how he never had a family vacation or traveled outside of the country. In 2017 his grandchildren fulfilled that dream of his and granted the family a cruise to Jamaica, this was just a small token of appreciation for the many sacrifices he bestowed upon his family.

Baptized on July 26, 2020 Walter found his spiritual home at First Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Preceding his death: Mother Rose Ingram, Mother-in-law Mary Butts Bishop and Stepdaughter Savetra Searcy.
