It is with sympathy, the management and staff of Slater’s Funeral Home, Inc. announce the passing of Mr. Walter Glenn, of Milledgeville, Georgia. Mr. Glenn passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2022.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at 2:30 PM from the Green Pasture Baptist Church, Milledgeville, Georgia. Interment followed in the Una Memorial Park, Milledgeville, Georgia.
Mr. Walter Lee Glenn was born November 17, 1956, to the parentage of the late Ms. Burnell Glenn in Milledgeville, Georgia. He is proceed in death by his mother Burnell Glenn, Annie Mosley, one brother, Lee Arthur Mosley, one son, John Clopton, and one stepson, Shavious Grant.
Mr. Walter was born and raised in Milledgeville, Georgia where he attended the Baldwin County School System and graduated from Boddie High School with the class of 1975. Mr. Walter better known as “LeeLee” was a loving and caring person. He would give anyone the shirt off his back. You can often find Walter doing a variation of jobs, from construction to lawn work. He was extremely crafty with his hands. Mr. Walter loved and cherished his family. You will always catch him at family gatherings and functions doing the robot or some type of dance to the music. He had such a joyous spirit about himself. If you were having a bad day, he would crack a job or something to make you feel better and you could never be sad around him. Mr. Walter was well known throughout Boddie Projects and Camden Street where his family home is currently located. Mr. Walter would later go on to have kids of his own, whom he cherished and loved. Mr. Walter would soon meet the love of his life, his wife, Sharon. They had been together going on twenty-four years, and happily married for seven of those years. He would also love her kids and grandkids as his own flesh and blood. Mr. Walter and Sharon would join in matrimony on November 15, 2014. Mr. Walter will be truly loved and missed by everyone he came in contact with. There could never be another LeeLee Glenn.
Mr. Walter leaves behind to cherish his memories: his wife, Sharon Lawrence-Glenn, six daughters: Takiesha (Tremaine) Speights and Alisha Clopton, of Milledgeville, Georgia, Tamesha Johnson, Burnell Johnson, Yvette Johnson, and Yvonne Johnson, of Albany, New York; one stepdaughter, Tiffany Lawrence; two stepsons: Wayne (Lashanda) Grant, Jr and Jarvis Lawrence, of Milledgeville, Georgia; one sister, Annie Mosley; one brother, Willie (Jodie) Mosely; two sisters-in-law: Patricia Myrick, Willette Lawrence, all of Milledgeville, Georgia; three brothers-in-law: Willie Lawrence, Darren Lawrence, Rickey Lawrence, all of Milledgeville, Georgia; twenty-nine grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren, devoted friend Larry Brown, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
