Vincent Hall Obituary

It is with sympathy, the management and staff of Slater’s Funeral Home, Inc. announce the passing of Mr. Vincent L. Hall, 53, of Milledgeville, Georgia. Mr. Hall passed away on Monday, December 27, 2021.

Graveside services were held on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at 12:00 NOON from the Bland Cemetery, Milledgeville, Georgia.

Vincent Lavontae Hall (affectionately called Vosky by family and friends) was born on March 8, 1968, in Milledgeville, GA. His parents were the late Mr. Harold C. Roers and Ms. Mable B. Hall. In elementary school, Vincent's teachers recognized his creativity in art and presented his mother a collection of his work. As an artist in residency at the Malor House for Allied Arts in Milledgeville, Vincent made a total of thirty-eight sculptures for display. Vincent has been featured in several newspaper articles throughout the state of Georgia. Vincent gave credit to his grandmother, the late Mrs. Annie Hall for encouraging him to stive to follow his artistic aspirations. “At the time I was doing little mud sculptures, she had a whole shelf of my sculptures on display in her home; it really warmed my heart, Vincent shared during an interview for the Union Recorder. After graduating high school, Vincent became a freelance artist. He gained valuable knowledge of art materials and their skillful use in his work as an artist. Vincent attended Northside Elementary School and graduated from Baldwin High School in 1988. The memories of Vincent's life will forever be cherished in the hearts of his brothers, Ms. Charles Phelps, iii (Alla) Pittstown, NJ; Mr. Derrick Hall, Sr. (Cecelia ) Columbus, GA; Mr. Andre' Hall and Mr. Patrick Hall, Sr., both of Milledgeville, GA; sisters,, Ms. Alysia Rogers, Los Angeles, CA; Ms. Angelique Phelps and Ms. Pia hall, both of Milledgeville, GA; uncles, Mr. Miller Rogers, Jr., Covington, GA, Mr. Fred Hall, Sr., Rochester, NY; aunts, Minister Mary Rogers and Mrs. Priscilla Daughtry (David) both of Milledgeville, GA; Mrs. Annie Clark, Irvington, NJ; Mrs. Bettye Harper (Louis) Statesboro, GA; A beloved Fiancée and partner, Ms. Sophia Walker; children whom he was a father figure to, Deshean Hall, India Hall and Trevon Hall; devoted uncle to Chance Hall and Chase Hall, whom he reside with; Ms. Frances Williams, to whom he was a beloved transporter and friend.
