Mrs. Victoria Parks, of Milledgeville, Georgia entered into eternal rest on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at her residence.
Graveside services were held on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 11:00 AM from the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery, Milledgeville, Georgia.
On Friday July 23, 2021, Victoria Harrison Parks enter into Eternal Rest. Victoria Harrison Parks was born Victoria Delores Harrison on March 7, 1954, to the late William Morrison Harrison and the late Sophie Howard. Victoria had four siblings: Margaret Franklin, Pauline Harper, Ethel Mae Harper (Terry Simmons – deceased), Regina Phelps, all from Milledgeville, GA. Victoria Graduated from Body High School in 1972. She started working at Central State Hospital at the age of 19. She continued working for Central State for several years until she married and relocated to Atlanta, GA area. Doing her time of living in the Atlanta area Victoria continued working with the elderly. She did home health care services while also pursuing her LPN degree in nursing. In 1987, Victoria moved her family back to her hometown of Milledgeville, GA. She began working for Central State again, working in the Bolden Building. She attended Mercer University nursing program in which she obtained her LPN license. Victoria worked at Central State until 1992. Victoria would liven up any room she was in. The spirit, the joy, the warmth she showed to others was amazing and memorable. Those who ever came in contact with her always spoke of how sweet she was. Victoria was a faithful member of Springhill Baptist Church in Milledgeville, GA. Victoria was a strong believer in the Almighty Jesus Christ. I father God and savior. She raised her children to her feet and believe in God. And she cries always. Victoria works broadly and diligently with the church and members as well as to community. She praised Father God till her last days; a true child of God. Victoria leaves to cherish her memory: a daughter, Veronica Harris-Dyous (Silas) of Milledgeville, GA; two sons, Dorsey Harrison and William Parks of Atlanta, GA; long time companion, McKinley Hill, Jr. of Milledgeville, GA; aunt: Ellen Solomon, whom she lived with; three nieces, Latrice Simmons, Tresselyn Adams (JuDonn), Nikki Douglas; nephews: Bernard, Reco, Latiff, Christopher Harper; sisters, Margaret Franklin, Pauline Harper, Regina Phelps; grandchildren: Xavier S. Harris, Ke'Surae Parks, Ke'Andre N. Parks, Sylisha S. Dyous, Ka'Najaha T. Parks, Quavion M. Parks, Z'Kwon S. Dyous; great-grandchildren, Desirae Z. Harris and Xavier J. Harris, Jr.; her dearly beloved God sister: Barbara Havior Harvell (Willie); several other relatives and friends.
