Valerie Diane Jones Mitchell-Ford departed this life April 29, 2025. She was born on May 16, 1976, to the parentage of the late Betty Joyce Satcher Jones and A.J. Jackson of Milledgeville, GA. Valerie Diane's formative years were spent spending time with her family members, which included spending time with her cousins and other neighborhood children. She enjoyed riding bicycles, racing, and playing dress up with them. Valerie Diane spent her Sundays attending Sunday School and attending church. Valerie Diane attended Vacation Bible School, Easter programs and she also enjoyed singing in the church choir. Valerie Diane joined Flagg Chapel Baptist Church under the pastorage of Reverend Raymond Buford, Jr.

Valerie Diane enjoyed a good time after cleaning up her home (that she kept neat as can be). She was always ready to entertain family and friends with good food and drinks, whether at home or out on the town. Left to cherish her with great memories are her husband, Marquis Ford of Milledgeville, Georgia; her three sons, Quistan Grissom, Terrance Simpson III, and Kahlid Mitchell; one granddaughter, Aunaka Simpson; brother, Bernard Jones, Jr. of Fredericksburg, Vieginia; aunt, Annette Satcher; uncle, George Satcher, Jr.; brother-in-law, Antonio Torrence; cousins, Chrysanthia Webb Latimore, Thomas L. Adams, Jr., Andrea J. Webb, Bria D. Latimore; a host of other cousins, nieces, nephews, family members, friends, co-workers, and classmates.
