It is with sympathy, the management and staff of Slater's Funeral Home, Inc. announce the passing of Mr. U.B. Renfroe, Milledgeville, Georgia. Mr. Renfroe passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023.
Funeral services were held on Friday. April 21, 2023 at 1:00 PM from the Griffin Memorial Chapel of Slater's Funeral Home, Milledgeville, Georgia. He is survived by his loving family and friends.
Mr. U.B. Renfroe, Jr. departed this life on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at Chaplinwood Health and Rehabilitation.
Mr. Renfroe was born June 7, 1945 in Hancock County, Sparta, Ga. He was the son of the late U.B. Renfroe, Sr. and the late Corine Brown Renfroe Baker.
Mr. Renfroe was a trusted member of the Men of Faith Ministry under Ambassador Walter Renfroe.
He was raised in a hard-working family, and he went from plowing a mule at a young age to driving a tractor trailer. He worked as a professional truck driver for many years. After his health began failing, he left the profession, but Mr. U. B. being the man that he is did not let that stop him from having transportation. He then traded his tractor trailer for a bicycle. He is known for riding his bicycle around town and down in the country. He was relentless and wasn't going to let anything stop him. Mr. Renfroe was also known for being a self-employed mechanic until his last bout with his health.
Mr. Renfroe was also a family man united in marriage to the late Mrs. Joyce Tucker Renfroe for over 50 years.
He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Earnestine Hartry, two sons, Jerry Bernard Renfroe and Kelvin Eugene Renfroe all of Milledgeville, Ga., 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He also leaves to cherish his memory two brothers, Ambassador Walter (Glynis) Renfroe and Benjamin (Carolyn) Renfroe both of Milledgeville, Ga., four sisters, Clemmie T. Swint of Warner Robins, Ga., Carrie Louise Sims of Atlanta, Ga., Frances Crowder of Aiken, S.C., and Pastor Corene Frazier of Milledgeville, Ga.
Mr. Renfroe was also proceeded in death by three brothers, Char- lie Renfroe, William D. Renfroe, and Jean H. Renfroe leaving him four sisters in law to cherish his memories, Christine Ren- froe and Beulah Veal of Milledgeville, Ga., Julie Ingram of Co- lumbia, Ga., Jennette Renfroe and Mildred Renfroe, Milledgeville, Ga
