Trevaris Durden Obituary

Trevaris Diago Durden, known affectionately as "T-Man" and a special name given to him by his mother and sister "Stank," passed away on June 27, 2024, in Jacksonville, Florida, at the age of 35. Born on February 19, 1989, in Macon, Georgia, Trevaris was a beacon of love and kindness throughout his life. He entered into this world with all odds against him, but his fight was unmatched and he lived a full life on his own terms.

Trevaris had an unwavering passion for fashion, especially for Jordan brand sneakers, and was recognized as a fashion guru among his peers. His love for music, motorcycles, and muscle cars also defined much of his leisure time, bringing joy not only to himself but also to those around him. You could see him everywhere with his mother at every basketball and football game or simply taking a spin around the city listening to their favorite oldies. Trevaris brought joy to those around him anytime he entered a room. If he did not like you, he would be sure to let you know just from his gestures alone.

Trevaris leaves behind a loving family who will miss him dearly. He is survived by his sisters, Keontae (Clinton) Washington of Jacksonville, Florida, Anika Butts Williams of Virginia, Latiesha Butts of Atlanta, Georgia, Queosha Wells of Milledgeville, Georgia, and Peyton Wells of Milledgeville, Georgia, and his brother, Hayden Wells of Milledgeville, Georgia. Trevaris was a cherished uncle to nephews Kai and Kingsley Washington, and Jeremiah and Jaiden Wells. His grandparents, Ida and TJ Wells, along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, family, and friends, also survive him. He holds a special place in his heart for two CNA's, Chandra Coats and Alease Mote that took great pride in his day-to-day life.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Vernita Clemons; his grandmother, Otelia Durden Reaves; his grandfather, Larry Eugene Warren; and his great aunt, Agnes Butts.
