Usher Tony Jerome Simmons was born June 19,1968 in Milledgeville, Georgia to the late James and Eula Mae Simmons.

He joined County Line Baptist Church in his teenage years. He was also a member of the Sons of Wisdom Daughter of Light Society. He attended many other churches as well.

Tony leaves behind long term girlfriend, Jaqueline Cotton. He was an avid sports fan of the Baldwin Braves, the Atlanta Hawks and the Atlanta Falcons. He traveled all over the state with his brother Michael, going to Baldwin Braves football games.

Tony had a long working career. He worked at Cherokee Product Company as a teenager and later worked at Haban for many years before he left to get a job at Vernay, where he worked his way up to being a supervisor. He remained employed at Vernay until his death.

He leaves behind three brothers, James Louis Simmons, Troy Bernard Simmons, and Michael Craig Simmons; four uncles, Milton Curry (Jackie Swint), Kelvin Curry, Authur Simmons, all of Milledgeville, GA, and Larry Simmons of Haddock, GA; five aunts, Joann Butts, Linda Curry, Mary Curry, all of Milledgeville, GA, Ruby Curry and Laverne Curry, both of Macon, GA; a devoted friend, Ed Bonner; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services were held on Friday, July 12, 2024, at 11:00 AM from the County Line Baptist Church, Haddock, Georgia. Interment followed.
