It is with sympathy, the management and staff of Slater's Funeral Home, Inc. announce the passing of Mrs. Tina Marie Keys, Milledgeville, Georgia. Mrs. Keys passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2023.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at 11:00 AM from the Flipper Chapel AME Church, Milledgeville, Georgia. Interment will be held privately with the family.
Tina Marie was born October 25, 1960 to the parentage of Mrs. Hallie Price and the late Mr. Willie Johnson. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Ms. Debra Price. After attending Germantown High School in Philadelphia, PA, she went on to work for Woolworth and Kmart until the businesses declined and closed.
In 2014, she along with her husband Mr. Brian Keys, relocated to Milledgeville, Ga. to care for her mother who was fighting cancer at that time.
Over the last few years, Tina was employed at Georgia College and Georgia Military College until her illness did not allow her to work anymore. She joined Zion COGIC and served as an usher there. Later, she changed her membership to Flipper Chapel AME Church, where she served as an usher as well. Tina loved to usher, following in the footsteps of her mother.
Tina had an affectionate smile that would light up a room. But if she wanted to tell you something, you could rest assured that she was going to tell you just like it was. In the most loving way possible, of course. She will be greatly missed by everyone who really knew her, because to know her was to love her.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 32 years, Mr. Brian Keys; her children, Ms. YunlaTaa Palzzyk and Mr. Robert Price, both of Michigan; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Titanna, Jaylon, Robert Jr. and Amiya; great grandchildren, Addin, Spencer and Luna; her sisters, Ms. Cheryl Price of Pennsylvania and Mrs. Donna Price Ash (Danny) of Delaware; her brothers, Mr. Richard Price, Mr. Randy Price and Mr. Timothy Price, all of Pennsylvania, Mr. Marvin Price of Milledgeville, GA; brothers-in-law, Pastor Tommy Keys (Kristen) and Dennis Keys, both of Pennsylvania; sister-in-law, Carol Keys of Pennsylvania; a host of other family members, friends and loved ones.
