Stavius Jenkins Obituary

STAVIUS “SHAROD” JENKINS was born on December 19, 1983, to Stacey Jenkins and Ouida DeEdra Harris.

Sharod attended the Christian House of Prayer school system in Killeen, Texas; he moved back to Georgia in 2000 and graduated from Lithonia High School in 2002. After graduating from high school, Sharod joined the United States Army, where he would serve for 12 years with tours to Iraq and Afghanistan. His service would also include a stint as a military police officer and a human resource specialist. Sharod would author his first novel in 2018, Pain is My Only Weakness, and in 2022, he would become a Certified Broker, starting his own trucking business, Blacks Elite Transporting Services, Inc. LLC. Sharod was best known for being a Personal Trainer and Fitness Instructor, with his encouragement to live healthy, with his Powered By Rod, Bodied by God workouts.

ShaRod was a member of Faith Christian Fellowship Ministries where he was affectionately known as Top Flight Security.

Sharod had an infectious smile and personality that lit up any space he walked into. He brought life to every atmosphere with his quick wit, sense of humor, words of encouragement, and uplifting spirit.

Sharod transitioned on December 25, 2023. Proceeding him in death, his sister, Shontaye “She'Rell” Jenkins, and maternal grandmother, Mother Shirley Waller Pearson.

He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted mother, Ouida Harris-Carr of Lithonia, Georgia; his father, Stacey Jenkins of Detroit, Michigan; his nephew, Eron Johnson of Lithonia, Georgia; his children, Arianna Jenkins of Punta Gorda, Florida; Heaven Jenkins, and Nevaeh Jenkins of Anniston, Alabama; Saunje Savage Jenkins of Peoria, Illinois, and Baylee Jenkins of Atlanta, GA; siblings, Gloria Thomas of Atlanta, Georgia, Nicole (Harlum) McGee of Memphis, Tennessee, Desmond Diggs and Dashia Diggs of Thomasville, Georgia. Maternal grandparents, Mr.and Mrs. James Harris, Sr. of Milledgeville, GA; and Mr. Albert Walker of Niles, Michigan. Paternal grandmother Ms. Dorothy Grant of Atlanta, Georgia; aunts, Briggette Redding, Jackie Harris-May, and Janice (Michael) Scott, all of Milledgeville, Georgia, Sonya Grant of Sandersville, Georgia, and Marquita (Benjamin) Conley of Atlanta, Georgia; uncles, Pastor James (Akia) Harris, Jr. of Milledgeville, Georgia, Mr. William (Sharon) Little of Atlanta, Georgia, and Mr. Marcus (Gena) Grant of Miami, Florida; Godchildren, Jackia Green, Trenton Williams, and Marcus Newby, Jr. Brotherly-cousins, Robert Williams Jr. and Demonzio "Bud" Speights. Devoted friends, Xavier Cannon, Marcus Newby, Sr., Jose Pittman, Angel Sanchez, Prentice Dukes, and Jorge Medina.
