Mrs. Sonya Michelle Dixon, age 57, was born to the parentage of Mr. Sharron Hurt and the late Ms. Gladys King, both of Milledgeville, GA. Even though her time here feels short, Sonya's life was rich with love and laughter. She made people feel joy simply by being near her.

Sonya was a proud graduate of Baldwin County High School class of 1989. Sonya took her love for people and was employed with the Angels at Home of Macon, GA and Baldwin County Transit of Milledgeville, GA. Her fur-grand Ava (dog) held a special place in her heart.

Sonya was preceded in death by her mother, Ms. Gladys King and brother, Antonio Hurt, both of Milledgeville, GA.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, Bernard Dixon; father, Sharron Hurt (Geraldine) of Milledgeville, GA; two (2) children, Javoris Dixon and Breanna Dixon, both of Milledgeville, GA; seven (7) grandchildren, Amyiah Dixon, Mykayla Dixon, Mariah Dixon, Tristen Dixon, London Austin, Ma'Laya Dixon and Izara Dixon, all of Milledgeville, GA; brothers, Curtis Abrams of Greensboro, GA, Quentin Wells (Wanda) of Riverdale, GA, Lavance Hurt of Warner Robins, GA, and Kenneth Brookins of Sparta, GA; sisters, Amanda Abrams Moore and Ebony Johnson, both of Jacksonville, NC; aunt, Willie B. Johnson of Milledgeville, GA; uncles, David Havior and Melvin Washington, both of Milledgeville, GA; a good friend/bonus sister, Betty Nash of Milledgeville, GA; and a bonus daughter, Arneiya (Speedee) Evans of Milledgeville, GA.

Sonya will be missed, loved, and remembered for a lifetime by a host of relatives and friends.
