It is with sympathy, the management and staff of Slater's Funeral Home, Inc. announce the passing of Ms. Sonya Brown, Sandersville, Georgia. Ms. Brown passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023.

Graveside services were held Friday, October 27, 2023, at 2:00 PM from the Brownwood Cemetery, Sandersville, Georgia.
 

Ms. Sonya Yvette Brown departed this life on Tuesday, October 23, 2023 at the Washington County Regional Medical Center.

Ms. Brown was born September 13, 1974 in Augusta, Georgia to the parentage of Mr. Bobby Stephens Hall and Ms. Jeanette Brown.  She attended the public school system of Washington County, graduating in the “Class of 1993”.  She also attended Georgia College of Milledgeville, Georgia.

She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Lillie Mae Hagans and Katie Mae Hall; aunts, Georgia Brown, Ida Bell Brown, Deborah Hall; brother Quinterious Miguel Hall.

Ms. Brown leaves to cherish her memories: parents, Ms. Jeanette Brown and Mr. Bobby (Nora) Hall; siblings, Eric (Tina) Brown, Lorenzo Brown, Bobby Hall, Jr., Shafton Hall, Siddiq Moore; aunts, Retha (Robert) Biggins, Stacie (Alex) Jordan, Shirley (Kay) May, Bertha Dawson, Louise (Will) Smith; uncles, Terry (Lynette) Stephens, Stanley Stephens, James E. (Gwen) Moore, Johnnie (Betty) Moore and Douglas Moore; devoted family, Tyniesha (Marcus) Ivey, Farrah (Kendall) Phillips, Alexis Taylor; devoted friends, Tasha Tuff-Cotton, Adina Hawthorne, Deon Bivins and Jo Stevens.
