It is with sympathy, the management and staff of Slater's Funeral Home, Inc. announce the passing of Shirley Pearson, Milledgeville, Georgia. Shirley Pearson passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2022.

Funeral Services were held on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of All Faith, Milledgeville, Georgia. Interment  followed in the Scenic Memorial Gardens, Milledgeville, Georgia.

MOTHER SHIRLEY JOYCE WALLER PEARSON was born May 28, 1940, to Willard and Thelma E. Waller.

Mother Pearson attended school in Baldwin County School System. She moved to Niles, Michigan in 1974, where she would receive her GED. While in Michigan Mother Pearson dedicated 29 years of service to Riveridge Manor, where she started as a C.N.A. and retired as Head of the Social-Service Department. She later returned to her hometown of Milledgeville, GA in 2003. Mother Pearson had a number of hobbies, such as putting puzzles together, gardening, but most of all she loved to bowl. She was a member of the Michigan Women's Bowling League, she received a number of trophies and awards. Mother Pearson was a founding member of Faith Christian Fellowship Ministries. As a faithful member, she severed on the Hospitality Auxiliary, former Missionary President, and Secretary to Pastor James Harris, Jr. Mother Pearson was affectionately known as “Shouting Shirley” because she did not fall short of letting the Lord have his way.

Shortly after arriving to Niles, Michigan Mother Pearson met her life companion Mr. Albert Walker, Sr. Their love was true and grew for more than 30 years until she gained her heavenly wings.

Mother Pearson transitioned at Atrium Health Navicent Heart Center on June 5, 2022. Preceding her in death, her parents Willard and Thelma Waller, siblings Willard Waller, Jr., and Mary Elizabeth Waller, two children Robert R Waller, and Vanessa F. Hall and three grandchildren Essex Hall, Jalisa Scott, and Shontaye Jenkins.

She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted companion, Mr. Albert Walker, Sr. (Niles, Michigan), her children, Ms. Briggette Redding (Troy Barnes), Mrs. Janice (Michael) Scott, Jackie May, Ouida Harris-Carr, Pastor James Harris, Jr. (Akia), Albert Walker, Jr., and Tera Walker Jones of Chicago, IL. Seventeen grandchildren, a host of great-grands, and great-great grands, devoted God-daughters Mrs. Suckeith (Saul) Curry, and Evangelist Barbara Harper, and bonus son Mr. Ronnie “Jack” Mother Shirley Joyce Waller P Wright.

 She is survived by her loving family and friends.
