Sherry Youvone Stubbs Howell, 59, of Milledgeville, Georgia, passed away suddenly on October 27, 2022.
Sherry was born on September 7, 1963, to the late Alice and Richard Stubbs, Jr; in Milledgeville, Georgia, and was the couple's first child. After graduating from Baldwin High School, class of 1981, she began working at Central State Hospital. Shortly after, she became employed at Rheem Manufacturing, working until 2006.
Sherry was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. It is likely if you saw her around Milledgeville and had anything more than a two-minute conversation with her, she pulled out her cell phone to show you pictures of her son and beloved grandchildren. Although miles separated them, she had daily FaceTime calls with Zola, Noah and Micah Ross. She encouraged them to be themselves and learn all they could.
Sherry excelled at cooking and took much pride in the dishes she prepared for her family. On trips to Indiana to visit her son and grandkids, she made it a point to cook something to leave them with. Sherry was a champion and O'Shae's number -one supporter in each endeavor. Whether it was listening to him talk about education or advising on parenting, she made it her mission to improve the lives of her family.
in 1998, Sherry met Michael Howell as they both worked for Rheem Manufacturing. They immediately hit it off and married only two years later, in February of 2000. This year, they celebrated 22 years of marriage.
Sherry enjoyed watching Tyler Perry Shows on BET, Law & Order SVU, and others. Although a self-proclaimed introvert, if she knew you, you were cool, you were family, and she greeted you with warmth and kindness. We will miss her greatly.
Sherry was Preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Lois and Alicia. She is survived by her husband, Michael J Howell, Milledgeville, GA; her only son, O'Shae (Meghan) Ross, Indianapolis, IN, three grandchildren, Noah Gabriel Ross, Zola Alice Ross, and Micah O'Shae Ross , all of Indianapolis, IN, one aunt, Evalena (Jessie) Cummings, sisters, Gail Coats and Twyler Wimberly, one brother, Efrem Stubbs, all of Milledgeville, GA one nephew, Rashad Perry, Stone Mountain, GA, one devoted niece, Tierra Arnold, John's Creek, GA and a host of other relatives and friends.
There will be no public viewing.
