It is with sympathy that the management and staff of Slater’s Funeral Home, Inc. announce the passing of Ms. Sherald Cummings of Sparta, Georgia.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 12:00 Noon from the Griffin Memorial Chapel at Slater's Funeral Home, Milledgeville, GA. Interment will follow from Hickory Cemetery, Sparta, GA.

SHERALD DENISE CUMMINGS, affectionately known as “Tootsie”, was born on November 12, 1971, in Baldwin County, Georgia to the parentage of Betty Jean Cummings and Calvin Lamar.

She attended school in Hancock County and loved to look at magazines and listen to music. She was a free-spirited person and had a way of telling you exactly what she wanted you to know and just what she wanted.

On July 7, 2026, the life of our beloved daughter, sister and aunt, Sherald Cummings, came to a close. She was surrounded by love and her family, just as she had been in her life.

She leaves to cherish her many fond memories: her mother: Ms. Betty Jean Cummings; her father: Deacon Calvin Lamar; her step-father: Mr. Robert L. Baugh; her brother: Mr. Ernest S. Davis, Jr. of Sparta; her sisters: Ms. Tequilla S. Cummings of Sparta and Ms. Aisha Lamar of Milledgeville; one nephew: Khari Lamar of Milledgeville; four nieces: Shadai Bundrage of Sparta, Alexia Davis of Augusta, Taylor Ingram of Sparta and Kharla Lamar of Milledgeville; uncles: Mr. Willie Cummings of Milledgeville, Mr. Jimmy Lamar of Macon, Mr. Steve Lamar, Mr. Darryl Lamar, and Mr. Gary Lamar all of Baltimore, MD; her aunts: Ms. Priscilla Ingram, Ms. Elizabeth Lamar, and Ms. Linda Gilbert, all of Sparta; and a host of cousins and other family members also survive.
