Miss Sheila Renee Ward departed this life on Friday, April 19, 2024, after an extended illness at Chaplinwood Health and Rehabilitation in Milledgeville, GA.  

She was born on February 28, 1968, to the late Mr. Harold and Mrs. Catherine Larkin Ward of Milledgeville, GA. She was also predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Mr. Otis and Mrs. Lula Shinhoster Larkin and paternal grandparents, Mr. Marion and Mrs. Ernestine Ward of Milledgeville, GA. Several aunts and uncles predeceased her also.  

At the early age of three months old, she was diagnosed with mild mental retardation. She attended Baldwin County Schools and graduated in 1987 from Baldwin High School with a diploma.

Sheila attended various churches throughout her lifetime. She enjoyed doing word search puzzles, watching BET, singing gospel music, and attending family gatherings and celebrations.

Miss Sheila's memories will be cherished by her aunts, Prophetess Geraldine Larkin Stephens of Sandersville, GA and Mrs. Lillie Shinhoster of Milledgeville, GA; and devoted cousins, Ms. Josephine Sapp and Ms. Janice Watkins of Milledgeville, GA. Several cousins and a host of other relatives and friends also survive her.
