The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want; He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul; He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
In the latter part of the evening of December 02, 2022, our sweet loving mommy/grandma found peace as she entered eternal rest.
Ms. Sarah Louise Trawick was born on March 14, 1947, to the parentage of the late Olene Choice Trawick and the late Johnny C. Trawick in Sparta, GA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Lee Barnes; one brother, Walter Lee Trawick; her beloved sisters-in-law, Mrs. Gennie Mae Trawick, Ms. Julia Pearl Jordan; and one grandson, Jarnorris L. Horne.
The loving name of Louise was the preferred name her loved one's called her. Her eldest loving brother
referred to her as "Eve”.
Mrs. Sarah Louise Barnes was educated in the Baldwin County School System. At an early age, she became a Green Pasture Baptist Church member. She retired from the Georgia War Veteran's Home. She had a humble and kind, loving heart and loved her family. She loved her crossword puzzles, and between the hours of 12:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m., there was no conversation for anyone (maybe her
granddaughter) because her soap operas were her time.
Her children adored her, and it was easy to love her.
She left a legacy of love for her family. Three daughters survive her, Patricia Ann (Lamar) Horne of Augusta, GA, Shurling Ann Barnes (Kelvin Willis) of Gordon, GA, Bernice Barnes (Joseph D. Vamper) of Gray, GA; granddaughters, Raven J. Hill (Roderick Bolden) of Augusta, GA, Lasacha Vamper of South Carolina; her five loving siblings: Mr. James C. Trawick, Mr. Alfred Lee Trawick, both of Milledgeville, GA, Nettie (Pamphile) Valentine, Susie Valentine, both of Atlanta, GA, Ruthie Mae (Hillman) Hurt; special sister-in-Law: Helen L. Trawick; sister-in-law, Annie Mae Barnes; brothers-in-law: Rev. Elijah (Eva Mae) Barnes, James (Irene) Barnes; God-Giving grandchildren: Amire Vamper, Kevin Letroy Moore, Madison Willis; great grandson, Jeremiah Rivers; a host of loving nieces, nephews, other cousins, friends, and other relatives.
