On June 14, 2021, God saw fit to call you home and peacefully rest. He witnessed your journey getting unbearable and decided it was time to reunite you with everyone in heaven. He called home his beloved Mrs. Sandra Faye Lamar – Thomas. She was known as “San” by family and friends.

Sandra was born in Macon, Georgia on January 9, 1960, to the parents of the late Mr. Willie Lamar and the late Mrs. Fannie Solomon Lamar of Macon and Haddock, Georgia. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, and friend. She was very compassionate when tending to her family. San took pride in being the event planner for family events where she put her love in every idea.

She worked at Cherokee, J.P. Steven, Shaw, Spring City, and Walmart where she loved what she did every day. She also loved to cook. San learned how to play softball at a young age and quickly excelled as a USSSA pitcher for countless years.

Sandra is preceded in death by her companion, the late Mr. Markeith Thomas Sr. of Milledgeville, Georgia; brother: Mr. Theodore (Kojak) Lamar, Sr., and Mr. Marvin (Pearl) Lamar, of Haddock, Georgia.

She leaves two children to cherish her loving memories: Mr. La’Darius Thomas, Ms. Shalaylah Lamar of Milledgeville, Georgia; two devoted sisters: Joyce Lamar of Haddock, Georgia and Lillie Mae Myers of Macon, Georgia; three devoted brothers: Joe (Ices) Lamar, of Sacramento, California, Phillip Lamar of Macon, Georgia, and Jerome (Shanmaria) Jackson of Macon, Georgia; devoted sister-in-law, Jean (Bruh) Pitts of Haddock, Georgia; two devoted grandchildren: Marcus “Tank” Gilbert, Jr., Michael “Big Shot” Neal, Jr.; her devoted nephews: Theodore (Olivia) Lamar, Jr., of Haddock, Georgia and Jazz Lamar, of Milledgeville, Georgia. Her devoted nieces: Ebony Lamar of Milledgeville, Georgia, and LaToya Pitts, of Haddock, Georgia; great niece: Ty’Keria “Muffin” Lamar; two devoted great nephews: Tay (Megan) Lamar and Dre Lamar of Haddock, Georgia. Lastly, we would like to acknowledge a host of other relatives and friends.
