It is with sympathy, the management and staff of Slater's Funeral Home, Inc. announce the passing of Mrs. Runette Butts, Milledgeville, Georgia. Mrs. Butts passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2022.
Funeral Services were held on Thursday, September 8, 2022, at 11:00 AM from the County Line Baptist Church, Milledgeville, Georgia. Interment to follow from the Georgia Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Milledgeville, Georgia.
Runette Butts was born to the late Eddie & Clareola Barnes.
As a child she attended Brown Chapel in Sparta, GA. Later, she joined Elbethel Baptist, but found comfort at County Line Baptist Church.
On March 10, 1972, Runette was united in holy matrimony to James Butts, Jr. To this union, five children were born. Runette had five children to precede her in death.
“Nett” (Boo), as she liked to be called by her family, was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, cousin, cousin, and friend. friend. An outgoing and loving woman, she was well known for her extraordinary cooking and family gatherings. She loved her lottery just as
much as she loved telling a joke, so you had to be quick on your feet.
On a Wednesday morning, August 31, 2022, Runette Butts was called home.
She leaves to cherish her memories, Zachary Barnes, Trent (Ranada) Butts, Alishia Butts Hubert, James Butts III and Chad Butts, all of Milledgeville, GA. Runette would also be remembered by her fifteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; one
sister, Gladys Barnes of Sparta, Georgia; four brothers, Larry Barnes, Bobby Barnes, Curtis (Barbara) Barnes, Eddie (Thelma) Barnes; one uncle, Johnny Hood; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
