On February 10, 2024, our beloved Roy Wright went home to be with the Lord.

Roy Wright, affectionately known to family and friends as “Red” was born September 14, 1957, to the parentage of Catherine Wright and the late Robert Wright.

Red attended Baldwin County Schools. He loved to listen to Gospel & Blues.

Red was preceded in death by his father, Robert Wright, Sr.; sister, Eunice Wright, Patricia Wright; two nephews, Ronrico Anderson and Jalante Brown.

Roy leaves cherished memories to his daughter, Neshanda Michelle (Tyke) Whitehead; one grandson, Christopher Deshawn Veal, Jr.; his mother, Catherine Wright; six brothers, Robert Wright, Jr., Benny (Sonja) Wright, Herman (Latoya) Wright, Kenneth (Teresa) Wright, Matthew (Kimberly) Wright, all of Milledgeville, GA, Henry (Gloria) Wright of Sparta, GA; four sisters, Irene Lawrence, Ernestine (Larry) Dixon, Betty Dixon, all of Milledgeville, GA, Nancy (Paul) Sanford of Macon, GA; seven aunts, Maebell Harris, Aretha Simmons, Juanita Liggins, Georgia Wright, Elizabeth Wright, all of Milledgeville, GA, Linda Wright Aprela, and Genva Davis of Atlanta, GA; four uncles, Willie James Moore, Leroy Wright, all of Milledgeville, GA, Lucious Moore of Atlanta, GA, Leroy Moore of New Jersey; a host of nephews, and cousins; a devoted family “sister”, Cheryln Lewis.
