It is with sympathy, the management and staff of Slater's Funeral Home, Inc. announce the passing of Mr. Ronnie Lewis, Milledgeville, Georgia. Mr. Lewis passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2023.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at 2:30PM from the Griffin Memorial Chapel, Milledgeville, Georgia. Interment to follow from the Scenic Memorial Gardens.

Ronnie Lewis was born October 23, 1954, to the parentage of Mr. Charlie Butts and Mary Julia Roberson.

Ronnie served his country by enlisting in the United States Army, where he served a three-year term. Ronnie began preparation for an industrious career by obtaining his associate degree in HVAC Technology, Electrical Engineering, and Industrial Welding.

After completing his education, Ronnie started his own HVAC/Electrical business which he ran for a period of twenty years.  He was also employed by Rheem as a plant supervisor for a period of sixteen years, Cagle's for a period of ten years, Basset Furniture for a period of eight years, and Heritage Realty for a period of ten years.

Ronnie's hobbies included collecting electrical appliances, playing video games and working out.

He is preceded in death by his father, Charlie Butts; mother, Mary Julia Roberson; sister, Mary Kate Roberson; and grandmother, Ruby Kate Lewis.

On Thursday, May 18, 2023, transitioned from mortality to eternal rest.

He leaves cherished memories to his daughter, Patrice (Ronae) Lewis of Marietta, GA; son, Eric Jamal Lewis of Macon, GA; four granddaughters, Ruby Lee Hill, Oscar Hill of Milledgeville, GA, Annette Roberson of Marietta, GA; associates, Carlos Hill, Mr. Danny, and Horace Johnson; a host of other relatives and friends.
