Robert worked at J.P. Stevens for years until he became self employed. Mr. Sam Yancy and Lewis Foster were Robert’s inspiration back in those times. He was well known for giving job opportunities and helping others in need. He was a special kind of man. Robert has worked with several general contractors in the central Georgia area for over 45 years. Robert specialized as a concrete finisher up until his health took a toll. He still assisted with supervisors providing helpful information to other concrete workers around the community and surrounding counties.
Robert loved all his kids & stepkids. Prime example of a kind-hearted people person who loved everyone. One of his favorite things besides fishing & cooking was riding around to different loved ones homes. Whether he beep the horn, wave, or got out...That was his joy.
