Our beloved Robert L. Johnson Jr., affectionately known as “June Bug,” peacefully transitioned on Sunday, March 8, 2026, in Valdosta, Georgia. Originally from Milledgeville, Georgia, Robert was born on November 17, 1965, in Baldwin County to the late Robert L. Johnson Sr. and Lucille Wright. He attended the public schools of Baldwin County.
He spent his formative years under the loving care of his maternal grandmother, the late Mamie Hill Johnson. Robert “June Bug” Johnson was known for his unique personality and sense of humor. He was very family‑oriented, and his presence will be deeply missed.
Robert Jr. leaves to cherish his memory:
Two sisters: Stephanie Pitts (Jenoah) and Barbara Jean Paul (Solito)
One brother: Charles Wright (Tinisha)
Aunts: Juanita Liggins, Geneva Davis (Raymond), Linda Aparala (Timmie), Lorena Johnson, and a devoted aunt, Annie C. Johnson
A devoted friend: Elder Laura Goddard (James)
Along with a host of cousins, relatives, and friends.
“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7
