It is with sympathy, the management and staff of Slater's Funeral Home, Inc. announce the passing of Mr. Robert Densley, Milledgeville, Georgia. Mr. Densley passed away on Monday, June 27, 2022.
Graveside services were held on Saturday, July 2, 2022 at 2:00 PM from the Torrance Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery, Milledgeville, Georgia.
On February 16, 1943 in Gordon, Georgia, Robert Louis Densley was born to the union of the late Mr. Willie Ike Densley and the late Ms. Leila Mae Simmons Densley.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Roy White. At an early age he joined Torrance Chapel Baptist Church. He attended public schools in New York City and Baldwin County. He was a retired worker of T&S Hardwood.
Robert was known by some as “Kid” and by his grandkids as “Rocky”. Robert was fortunate to share his birthday with his niece. He was a very good swimmer and skater. He loved country music, westers, oh and I can't forget his boots! He also loved being a dad, grandad, brother, uncle, but most of all he was a proud great granddad.
He is survived by his daughter, Marcia Williams, of Milledgeville, Georgia; son, Tyrone (Melinda) White, of Milledgeville, Georgia; grandchildren, Tyronica Barnes and Hakeem Durden both of Milledgeville, Georgia; great grandchildren, Genecia Barnes and Hakeem Durden Jr., both of Milledgeville, Georgia; sisters, Rosa L. Webster, Lucile (Timothy) Veal, of Milledgeville, Georgia; brothers, Alvin Densley, John (Yvetta) Densley of Chicago, Illinois and Richmond Densley of Milledgeville, Georgia, a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Special appreciation for his devoted granddaughter, Tyronica Barnes and a devoted niece, Sandra Kendrick.
