Revon Billue

Mr. Revon Billue, of McIntyre, Georgia entered into eternal rest on Monday, May 24, 2021 at his residence.

Graveside services were held on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at 11:00 AM from the Mt. Tilla Baptist Church Lawn, 2424 US-441 Irwinton, Georgia 31042. Services can be viewed live at the link below. 

Mr. Revon Billue was born on January 1, 1923, to the late Warren Billue, Sr. and Learh Billue of Dublin, Georgia.

Funeral services will be held today at 11:00 AM from the Mt. Tilla Baptist Church Lawn in Irwinton, Georgia.

Mr. Billue was a self-educated, dignified man who followed the lead of his older brothers due to losing his father at an early age.  In 1945, he married his bride, Mrs. Florine K. Billue, a virtuous, loving, caring lady.  They were married for 72 years.  Mr. Billue was employed at Engelhard Corporation for 39.5 years.  He was a loyal and dedicated employee.  He worked additional jobs as a painter for many locals, and he also worked as a water technician for the city of McIntyre. He joined Mt. Tilla Baptist Church while a youth and attended church until his health began to decline.

Mr. Billue will always be remembered for his love for his family and fellowman.  He and his bride, Mrs. Florine K. Billue, made immeasurable sacrifices to make sure all of their eight children earned a college education.  His greatest accomplishment in life was providing for his family.

On May 24, 2021, Mr. Billue slept away peacefully at home.  He was preceded in death by his wife and his son, Sergeant Curtis Billue.

To cherish his memories, he leaves behind his children and their spouses (in parentheses)  Barbara Strange of Macon, Ga, Frank Billue (Marilyn) of Stone Mountain, Ga, Diane Cooper (Bishop Gus), of Milledgeville, Ga, Bruce Billue, of Irwinton, Ga, Shelbra Billue-Mayes (Pastor Sydney), of Newnan, Ga, Carol Billue and Denise Billue, of McIntyre, Ga.  Denise served as his devoted caregiver for almost seven years.  He also leaves several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends.  Three special friends were Mr. Johnnie Hill and Mr. Ronnie Stephens, of Irwinton and Mr. Sylvanius Hightower who was his part-time caregiver.
