Pastor Terrace Derrell Pullen

Pastor Terrace D. Pullen, of Wrightsville, Georgia was called from labor to reward on Sunday, January 31, 2021 in Augusta, Georgia.

Graveside services were held on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at 11:00 AM from the Community Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, 627 James Grove Church Rd, Wrightsville, Georgia.

Pastor Terrace Derrell Pullen, was born in Dublin, Georgia on October 5, 1970 to the late Mr. Gary Pierce and Mrs. Linda Pullen Greene. Ambitious to conquer the world “Pastor T” as he was affectionately called was reared by his loving and God Fearing grandmother, the late Mrs. Annie Pullen.

He attended and graduated from the Johnson County High School with the Class Of 1988 and an honorary member of the Class Of 1987. After high school he furthered his education at Georgia Southern University, Statesboro, Georgia. Pastor Pullen was a true servant at heart. He exemplified that trait serving our beloved country in the U.S. Navy.

On November 30, 2013 he was united in Holy Matrimony to Mrs. Melinda McLendon Pullen.

Above all Pastor Terrace had a desire to please the Lord and accepted his call to further serve by committing his life to ministry and pastorship. On January 1, 2015 he received the honored task of becoming the Senior Pastor of the Harrison Spring Baptist Church, Harrison, Georgia. For more than six years as pastor “Pastor T” allowed the Lord to use him as he touched the lives of many. Hardworker was an understatement. No matter the task at hand he was up for the challenge. During the latter part of life's journey he fulfilled his passion of entrepreneurship by becoming self employed and establishing TDP Safety Services. He was an active Youth leader in Johnson County and a huge supporter of the Johnson County Trogans football and basketball teams as well as the Chaperone BETA Club. He was admired and well respected by the community, his peers, and his family.

Being a devoted husband, father and grandfather was his greatest pastime. There was nothing that came before family. He was preceded in death by his father: Mr. Gary Pierce; grandparents: Mrs. Annie Pullen, Mr. Jasper “Pete” Pullen, Mr. Andrew Pierce. Pastor Terrace Derrell Pullen was loved by many, a supporter of all.

He leaves to cherish his memories, a loving and devoted wife: Melinda A. Pullen; children: Torrance Tyrell Pullen, Tecari Brown, Julius Pullen, Kevin Butler, Jr., Kayla Butler, Kainda Butler, his mother: Mrs. Linda (Willie) Greene; his grandparents: Mrs. Mary Dell Pierce, and Mrs. Juanita Pullen; a special nephew: Mr. Terron “TJ” Pullen, Jr.; twelve siblings; Ms. Lisa Bryant, Mr. Rodney James, Mr. Tavoris Davis, Mr. Terron (Danielle) Pullen, Mr. Gregory (Gerlane) Pierce, Dominique Pierce, Mr. Antwan Pierce, Ms. Iesha Knight, Ms. Melissa Davis, Ms. Keyonna Reese, Mr. Jacorey Reese, Mr. Jacarey Reese, Mr. Daquavis Stanley;  his grandchildren: Tyonna Pullen, Torrin Pullen, Tyler Pullen, Torrence Pullen, Jr., and Tahlor Pullen; his mother and father in law: Mr. Louis and Mrs. Bonnie McLendon; several God children: Iyatta and Iyoka Walker, Amari Chase Tillman, Brandee Rawlings, Mason Akridge; a host of aunts, uncles, neices, nephews, other relatives and friends.
