Mr. Norris "Big Boi Kane" McCormick, Jr. a beloved son, brother, cousin, husband, father, and friend. He peacefully departed this world on November 20, 2023, at Navicent Hospital in Milledgeville, GA.  He leaves behind a legacy that will forever be cherished in our hearts.

Kane, as he was affectionately called, was born to the late Norris Jerome McCormick, Sr., and the late Brenda Hill McCormick. From a young age, it was evident that Kane possessed a one-of-a-kind personality that was a wonderful attribute that became his mantra for life.  As an only child, he became the favorite cousin, brother and friend to all of his first cousins, establishing deep bonds that would last a lifetime.  His vibrant spirit attracted everyone, making him the life of any gathering. Kane had a remarkable ability to bring out the best in even the darkest days, always ensuring that those around him were filled with laughter and joy.

Kane graduated from Baldwin High School in 1993, marking the beginning of his journey into adulthood. Throughout his life, he held various jobs and overcame physical challenges that resulted from a childhood injury.  He used a walking cane which is where he got the nickname “Kane.” Determined not to be defined by his circumstances, he never wanted to be seen as handicapped or disabled and he never used that as an excuse.

Music was Kane's passion, and he pursued it wholeheartedly. He formed a music group that performed across the southeast United States, captivating audiences wherever they went. His involvement spanned every aspect of a professional music group and its performances. Additionally, he had a knack for DJing, showcasing his talents in various settings.

In recent years, Norris found great success in his business venture, Trash Man Shawty. His company flourished and became widely recognized throughout the region, a testament to his drive and entrepreneurial spirit. Sadly, he wasn't able to open his barbecue restaurant and store called Fat Daddy’s, which was scheduled to open next month.

Above all, Norris “Big boi Kane” McCormick, Jr. was a devoted family man. He cherished his family, adored his loving wife, and treasured his seven children deeply. He often spoke of his grandmother, Lou Ellen, and her immense love for her ten children, expressing a desire to emulate that familial bond.
