It is with sympathy, the management and staff of Slater's Funeral Home, Inc. announce the passing of Mrs. Nettie Phillips, McIntyre, Georgia. Mrs. Phillips passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2022.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, October 27, 2022, at 11:00 AM from the Parker Springs Baptist Church, McIntyre, Georgia. Interment to follow from the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Milledgeville, Georgia.
Nettie Mae Phillips On October 22, 2022, our beloved Nettie Mae Phillips entered into eternal rest at the Regency Hospital in Macon, GA. She was born via midwife at her residence to the late Deacon John (JB) and Gladys Myrick in McIntyre, GA on November 27,1934.
Nettie Mae was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt to many who loved her dearly. Nettie Mae' scaring heart and infectious smile touched the lives of everyone she came in contact with Her loving spirit will live forever in her family and friends.
Nettie Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Jack Dupree Phillips Sr.; parents, Mr. John and Gladys Myrick; three sisters, Mrs. Betty Todd, Mrs. Juanita Thomas and Mrs. Lula Jacobs.
She leaves to cherish her memory: ones on, Mr. Jack Dupree Phillips, Jr. of McIntyre ,GA; one sister, Mrs. Gaynell (Jerry) Shinholster of McIntyre, GA; five grandchildren, Ms. Kristi Jones of Dublin, GA, Ms. Arnetres Todd of McIntyre ,GA, Mr. Jarvis Todd and Mr. Jerek Phillips, both of Milledgeville, GA, Mr. Travis Phillips of Gordon, GA; thirteen great-grandchildren; devoted friend, Mrs. Diane Zachary of McIntyre ,GA; beloved friend and neighbor, Mrs. Louise Edmond of McIntyre GA ;a loving host of nieces, nephews ,other relatives ,and friends.
