It is with sympathy, the management and staff of Slater's Funeral Home, Inc. announce the passing of Mr. Napoleon Castleberry, Jr., Sandersville, Georgia. Mr. Castleberry passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2022.


Funeral services were held on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at 2:30 PM from the Springfield Baptist Church, Sandersville, Georgia.  Interment were held at the Georgia Veteran Memorial Cemetery, Milledgeville, Georgia.


Mr. Napoleon Castleberry, Jr. was born January 28, 1950, in Washington County, Georgia to the parentage of the late Mr. Napoleon Castleberry, Sr. and Mrs. Lurene Wiley Castleberry.


He was baptized at an early age at Springfield Baptist Church of Sandersville, GA. Napoleon was a graduate of the T.J. Elder High School Class of 1968. He served and retired from the United States Army after twenty-two plus years of service where he ranked Sergeant.


He was proceeded in death by two brothers, Mr. Willie Mack Coleman, Mr. Willie Fred Castleberry and sister, Laverne Davis.


Napoleon departed his life Wednesday, December 28, 2022.


He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving, caring and devoted wife of eighteen years, Mrs. Annie M. Cummings Castleberry; six children, Mr. Reginal LaKeith Castleberry of Tennille, GA, Mr. Michael Johnson (Felicia) of Sandersville, GA, Ms. Cameisha Dhanraj of Atlanta, GA, Mrs. Sonya Daniels (Terrance) of Atlanta, GA, Mrs. Sherika Castleberry Dewindt (Daronell) of Atlanta, GA, Mr. Shawn Castleberry (Kara) of Atlanta, GA; thirteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren; five siblings, Mrs. Inez Askew (George, Sr.) of Sandersville, GA, Ms. Maudie Ree Haynes of Sandersville, GA, Mrs. Dorothy Stafford (Shawn) of Macon, GA, Mr. Ledell Castleberry (Charlene) of Conyers, GA, and Mr. Ronnie Castleberry of Sandersville, GA; sister-in law, Ms. Ola Mae Davis; devoted friends, Mr. Aaron Evans, Mr. Joe Walker, Mr. Marion Brookins, Mr. Danny & Susan Hammock; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
