It is with sympathy, the management and staff of Slater's Funeral Home, Inc. announce the passing of Mrs. Naomi Gilmore, Gordon, Georgia. Mrs. Gilmore passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2023.

Funeral services were held privately with family, Milledgeville, Georgia. A wife to Jerry Gilmore, mother of Jerry Jr. and Tamara, grandmother of Seven, Jada, and Jordan Gilmore. She was a sister to Marion, Sarah, Veronica, Melvin, Faye, Orion & Nannette, Cynthia; daughter of Helen and Seaborn Reeves.  She was a cousin , auntie and friend.

Naomi was born on December 6, 1945.

She lived, she loved, she had good and bad days, she did what she thought was right.  She did her best.

She showed up, she was there. She loved, she nurtured, she gave every bit of herself she had to give.

2022 brought sad news with her lung cancer diagnosis, a house fire where she and her husband Jerry lost everything. Again together they found strength to move forward and rebuilt. However, on September 30, 2023 minutes into the day, she crossed over to live in eternity with her family that crossed before her. She is now free from the pains of this world, heaviness and sorrow.  Happy, young again and in peace and love in the light.
