Mrs. Annie "Mary" Reid Obituary

It is with sympathy, the management and staff of Slater's Funeral Home, Inc. announce the passing of Mrs. Annie M. Reid, Milledgeville, Georgia. Mrs. Reid passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at her residence.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at 11:00 AM from the Pine Ridge Baptist Church, Milledgeville, Georgia. The interment followed in the church cemetery. Due to technical issues a recording of the services will be posted on a later date.

Annie Mary Reid was born April 21, 1943, to the parentage of Tommie and Queen Quaker.

She was educated in the public schools of Baldwin County, Georgia. Annie realized that one day she would have to spend eternity somewhere, so she confessed her belief in Christ. She was the mother of the Church for Antioch Primitive Baptist Church.

Annie was a person who enjoyed life to the fullest. She was also a woman of many talents which were displayed in her cooking, gardening, dancing, sewing, and also expressed in her loved of Blues and Gospel music.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Isaac Reid; son, Isaac Reid, Jr.; parents, Tommie and Queen Quaker; siblings, Willie J. Quaker, Young Quaker, Ulysses Quaker, Tommie Quaker Jr., Elizabeth Solomon, Susie Milds, Martha Clemons, Dasie Young, Gloria Murray, and Alfonso Alfonso Quaker.

Annie departed her earthly tabernacle into eternity on July 30, 2022.

Annie leaves cherished memories to her loving children, Belinda  Rawlings (Len) of Gray, GA, Barbara Kemp (Marvin) of Warthen, arthen, GA  Mickreal Reid (Margaret) of Gray, GA, Mary Ann Axom (Robert) (Robert) of Haddock, Haddock, GA, Cheryl Little of Milledgeville, Milledgeville, GA, Traccie Shinholster (devoted (devoted bonus son, Michael) Michael) of Milledgeville, Milledgeville, GA, and Sabrina Reid of Milledgeville, Milledgeville, GA; a loving sister, Carrie Austin (Emory) (Emory) of Milledgeville, GA; twelve grandchildren;  twenty-one great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; three brothers-in-law; four sisters-in-law; devoted caregivers, Lavern Thomas of Milledgeville, GA; Agape Hospice of Milledgeville, GA; a host of  nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
