Mr. Eugene L Brown Sr.

It is with sympathy, the management and staff of Slater's Funeral Home, Inc. announce the passing of Mr. Eugene L. Brown Sr., Milledgeville, Georgia. Mr. Brown passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2022.

Celebration of Life services were held on Thursday, August 4, 2022, at 11:00AM from the Griffin Memorial Chapel of Slater’s Funeral Home. 

Mr. Eugene L. Brown Sr. was born July 6, 1966, to the parentage of Ramon Bell and Julia Jones Taylor.  He attended Baldwin High School in Milledgeville, Georgia graduating with the Senior Class of 1985.

He was a master carpenter by trade. He could out build the best of them, and he loved what he did. He worked for Central State Hospital grounds and carpentry shop for over nine years. Eugene spent most of his time building houses, mentoring others, posting the commandments and laws of the Bible. He also enjoyed listening to and reading the Word of God and sending prayers to his loved ones and friends via TikTok. He will be truly missed.

Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his stepfather, Willie Robinson, grandmother, Hattie Lee Jones and brother, Randy Brown.

Left to cherish his memories: his mom, Julia L. Taylor; children, Lanecia Brown and Eugene Larrance Brown Jr.; granddaughter, Milani Brown; sister, Darlene Brown Moss, Sabrina Taylor, Yvonne Brown; cousins, Elaine Walker, Sandra Jackson; devoted brothers and friends, Holton Sandifer, Efrem “Buddy” Stubbs, Bernard (Magoo) Simpson, Claye Blye, Daryl “Mutt” Reaves, Archie Cleveland, Greg milliner, Delois Dumas; lifetime friend and co-parent, Teresa Brown and a host of cousins and friends. A special thanks to his devoted sister and caregiver, Darlene Brown Moss.
