It is with sympathy, the management and staff of Slater's Funeral Home, Inc. announce the passing of Mrs. Mary Ford, Milledgeville, Georgia. Mrs. Ford passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2022.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at 2:00 PM from the Parker Springs Baptist Church, McIntyre, Georgia. Interment to follow from the Parker Hill Baptist Church, Thoombsboro, Georgia.

Mary Jean Ford, 85 of McIntyre, GA passed away on Wednesday November 9, 2022, at Chaplinwood Nursing Home in Milledgeville, GA.

She was born in McIntyre, Georgia on September 8th, 1937, daughter of the late the Cora Walker Myrick and Prince Edward Myrick Sr.

She joined Parker Springs Baptist Church at an early age. Mary Jean was united in holy matrimony to the late Willie Ford, Sr. She is preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Gloria Myrick, Ruby Pearl Hillman, Ethel Bell Lockett and Lula Mae Myrick; her brothers, William Myrick, Freddie Myrick and Frank Myrick.

She is survived by four children, Gloria Jean Ford, Diane Jackson, Johnny Lee Ford and Willie Ford, Jr, all of McIntyre, Georgia; one brother, Prince Edward Myrick, Jr. of Milledgeville, Georgia; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
