Martha Lee Stanley was born March 22, 1926 in Milledgeville, Georgia to the union of John Henry Sr. and Elnora Reaves. She was the youngest of three children.
Martha attended Eddie High School in Milledgeville, Georgia where she too would later find a passion for education as a homeschool teacher.
The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Martha. She loved spending time in the kitchen creating delicious meals for her family, and found an uncanny ability to find happiness in her many activities, which included canning, gardening, fishing, and tending to her flowers.
Martha has always believed in hard work while forging her career as a Seafood Chef at Mercury Fish and Chips in Detroit and at McGaw Industries upon her return to Milledgeville.
Martha would marry the love of her life Cornealious Stanley Jr. in 1946. In their 40 years of union, they both exemplified love for family and friends while raising four beautiful children; Geraldine, Eugene Sr., Patricia, and Cornealious III.
Martha's family was her heart and joy. There is no denying that any moment spent with her would be filled with love, a listening ear, and a retouch up of her favorite RED LIPSTICK to continue the conversation.
