It is with sympathy, the management and staff of Slater's Funeral Home, Inc. announce the passing of Mr. Mark Glenn, Milledgeville, Georgia. Mr. Glenn passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2022.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 12:00 PM from the Chapel of All Faiths, Milledgeville, Georgia. Interment to follow from the Scenic Memorial Gardens, Milledgeville, Georgia.
Mark Levi Glenn Sr. 58 was called home to glory on Saturday November 26, 2022, at Atrium Health Navicent. Despite his medical issues in recent years, he always showed his courage during life challenges. Even with the daily pain Mark endured, he remained a hero and stayed that way until the end. Mark loved playing High School Football and graduate from Baldwin High School Class of 1982. After High School, he enlisted in the United States Army where he was honorably discharged in 1986.
After returning home he held various jobs, working at Fortsmann Industries, Horton Homes and Georgia Pacific. Which he later retired from in 2007 due to health issues. Mark was very family-oriented man and loved spending time with his family and friends. Besides his sons referring to him as “Da”, he was very well known to many as Uncle Mark.
Mark was the son of the late Preston Glenn and Anna Laura Lee Glenn. His mom passed when he was only six months old and the late Alma Mae Parham became a step-mother figure to him. Mark is proceeded in death by his parents and two brothers, Alphonso Glenn & Wendall Glenn, Sr.
He leaves to cherish his partner over thirty years Gladys and their three sons, Showntori (Amanda), Mark Jr (Alexis), and Jalyn Glenn. Mark also leaves behind his three grandchildren Keari, Ahmad, and Marlee. His memories will always be cherished by his loving sisters, Inell Jackson, Betty Moore (Johnnie), Linda Hogan (Ronald), Sonya Glenn, Denise Taylor Walker (Roger), Debra King, Arlene (Bobby) Harris and Letitia Glenn; brothers, Harold Henderson (Evelyn), Jeffery Glenn (Patricia), Elliot Jordan (Vette) and Calvin Hurt; along with a host of stepbrothers and stepsisters; nieces and nephews; great nieces and great nephews; family and friends
