Mariann Osgood, born in Augusta, Georgia on Augusta 22, 1969, transitioned to eternal rest on April 30, 2024, at Atrium Health Navicent Baldwin Hospital.
Mariann was the daughter of Bertha Osborne and the late Freddie Ward, Sr.
She attended Burke County High School, graduating in the Class of 1988, and extended her education at Brewton Parker College, graduating in 1992 in the medical field of nursing. She later furthered her education at Macon Technical College to become an LPN. She graduated from Central Georgia Technical Institute (formerly known as Macon Technical School) with a Practical Nursing Degree. She became a Licensed Practical Nurse on March 15, 1999.
Mariann joined the Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church at an early age, where she served as a faithful member. Although she relocated later in life, she remained affiliated and dedicated to her home church.
Mariann was employed for several years with the Georgia War Veterans Home (STG1), and the Oconee Center, both in Milledgeville, GA.
She was preceded in death by her father, Freddie Ward, Sr.; grandmothers, Eva Mae Lewis, Ella Mae Roberson; grandfathers, Frank Osgood, Lindsey Ward; and sister, Brenda Ward.
Mariann will be remembered not only for her remarkable achievements, but also for her great love for her family who she leaves to cherish: fiancé, Larry Lawrence of Milledgeville, GA; mother, Bertha Osborne of Waynesboro, GA; siblings, Annette Harden (Ray) of Conway, SC, Barbara Ann Wimberly (Johnny Frank) of Waynesboro, GA, Donelle Osborne (Latonya), Kelvin Osborne, both of Waynesboro, GA, Regina Osborne of Augusta, GA, Georgia Ann Ward, Freddie Ward, Jr., both of Conway, SC; Tard Smith (Trennell) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; special children, Antonio Green (Shenieka) of Waynesboro, GA, D'Asia Baker of Conway, SC; Godmother, Catherine Wimberly of Waynesboro, GA; special friend, Conswaylo Hightower (Christopher) of Milledgeville, GA; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
