Lula Mae Johnson

Ms. Lula Mae Johnson, of Milledgeville, Georgia passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2021 at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital, Athens, Georgia.

Graveside services were held on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 11:00 AM from the Heritage Memorial Park, Milledgeville, Georgia.

Mrs. Lula Mae Williams Johnson was born in Milledgeville, Georgia on October 5, 1932 to the late Mr. Eugene Williams, Sr. and the late Mrs. Pearl Pruitt Williams.

Lula attended the public schools of Baldwin County. She was employed at Central State Hospital and retired after 24 years and 4 month of service. She also worked as a private sitter.

At an early age Lula joined Union Baptist Church in Milledgeville, Georgia. She served faithfully on the Senior Usher Board, the Gospel Choir, and the Missionary. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Eugene and Pearl Williams; two brothers, Mr. Roosevelt Williams, Sr. and Mr. Nathaniel Williams, Sr.

Lula leaves to cherish her memories: sister, Lois Williams; brother: Eugene (Stephany) Williams, Jr; devoted nephews: Thalrone (Melinda) Williams, Rance (Angela) Williams, Roosevelt Williams, Jr. and Nathaniel (Shonda) Williams, Jr.; devoted nieces: Cynthia Bly, Kasna (Tremaine) Williams, Yatisha (James) Roberson; sister-in-law: Vera Williams; a host of great nephews, great nieces, great great nephews and nieces, cousins and friends.
