In the early morning hours on December 15, 2025, an angel came to Lucius L Moore and
silently took him peacefully to his eternal home. Born on March 26, 1945, in Baldwin
County to the late Mr. Eziel Moore and Mrs. Eva Pearl Mitchell-Moore. Known to his
family and friends as “Nanny”, he will forever be in our heart.
Lucious spent decades as a Master Mechanic at Baldwin Body Shop. He was the life of
the party and loved to dance.
He was preceded in death with those who have gone before him, including his parents,
Mr. Eziel and Eva Pearl Mitchell-Moore: his sister Eva Mae Simmons “Baygirl,”
Josephine Simmons “Josee,” and Hazel Moore; and his brothers, Willie James Moore Sr,
Robert Lee Moore “Snout,” Eziel Moore, and Johnny Moore “Cmo.”
He leaves to cherish his memory, spouse Wanda Adkins. His loving daughters, Karen
Moore (Tasha), Laura Moore (Willie), Victoria Moore (Fred), and Sharon Moore, all of
Milledgeville, Sons, Jeffery Moore, of Milledgeville Ga, Lucious Moore Jr (Kelli) and
Dennis Moore (Denise) both of Philadelphia; devoted stepson Darrell Palmer (Sonja) of
Milledgeville. his sisters, Maybelle Harris, Catherine Wright “Pad,” and Areathea Simmons
“Lima;” one brother Leroy Moore of New Jersey. To cherish his memory twenty-four
grandkids and host of great grandkids, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; all of whom
will miss him dearly. Devoted friend Fannie Palmer of Milledgeville.
