It is with sympathy, the management and staff of Slater's Funeral Home, Inc. announce the passing of Mrs. Louise Smith, Milledgeville, Georgia. Mrs. Smith passed away on Monday, February 27, 2024.
Louise H. Smith was born on November 12, 1952, to the late Pauline Hill and J.C. Stephens in Milledgeville, Ga. She peacefully departed on February 27, 2024 at Chaplinwood Health and Rehabilitation.
She was a devoted member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness where she faithfully attended Bible Study and Church services. She was always willing to lend a helping hand wherever needed, especially in the kitchen. Louise loved to cook, and she enjoyed buying her favorite dishes to prepare meals for her family and friends. Although she loved to cook, she had a lifelong desire to become a nurse. She met and married the love of her life whom she was with for 42 years. She was reared in Baldwin County where her favorite childhood pastime was.
visiting the junkyard. She was a great cook and provider, and everyone loved her. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and much more. Louise will continue to live through the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her loving husband: William Alvin Smith; sons: Eugene and Curtis Mack; sister, Carol Russell; brothers Bobby (Nora) Hall, Johnny Clyde (Betty) Moore, 6 grandchildren, Dakari, Makayla, Nalani, Tykeria, Jamarcus and Curtis Mack Jr.; nephews Herman, Biscuit and NeNe; nieces: Carmon, Javian, Shenerika, Lakeidra, Sharika, Lakeisha; cousins, Lilly Murray, Quinton Mallory, Robin Hill, Georgia (Carlton) Freeman, Bobbie, Cedric, Jabo, and Tim Hill; uncle Wolf; friends, Katie Walls and Diane Davis; great nephew, Duke Duke and in laws; the Smith family.
