Lewis Burch was born the son of Lily Pearl Bateman and Willie Birch, Sr. in Milledgeville, GA on November 14, 1942. He was preceded in death by his father and mother and two brothers, Sammy Birch and Willie Birch, Jr.

Lewis attended Baldwin County Public School. He held different jobs in Milledgeville, GA. He retired from Central State Hospital after 17 years of service.

Louis Burch entered into rest on January 19, 2024, at his home.

He leaves to mourn his passing. A devoted sister, Hallie Price; brother, Franklin (Mary) Bateman; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
