Leroy Boyer

It is with sympathy, the management and staff of Slater’s Funeral Home, Inc. announce the passing of Mr. Leroy Boyer, 65, of Milledgeville, Georgia. Mr. Boyer passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2021.

Memorial services were held on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 11:00 AM from the Griffin Memorial Chapel of Slater's Funeral Home.

Leroy was the third son of the late Mr. Samuel Boyer & Roberta Warren Boyer. He lived in Atlanta, GA for twenty plus years where he retired from the airport. He moved back to Milledgeville in 2000 and started working at Piggly Wiggly as a stock manager faithfully until his health declined. Leroy was a devoted, caring and humble man to his wife, his children, and his sisters, brothers, and many other friends. He's gone but never forgotten. He leaves to cherished, cherished, his loving wife of forty-five years, Mrs. Annette Y. Boyer; five children including three sons: Antonio (Tony) “Fallie” Yarber, Jody “Sival” Yarber, both of Atlanta, GA, Travis “Lashonda” Yarber, of Milledgeville, Milledgeville, GA; two daughters, daughters, Lea “Eric” Kemp of Atlanta, GA, Shantia “Timothy” Laster of Milledgeville, Milledgeville, GA; three brothers who preceded him in death, Robert L. Boyer, Johnny L. Boyer, and Samuel L. Boyer, Oscar (OD) Boyer of Milledgeville, Milledgeville, GA, Willie L. Boyer of Greenboro, GA; four sisters: Izore “Raymond” Rubin, of Milledgeville, GA, Tommie M. Boyer, Winnette Timmons and Marie “Curtis” Devereux, all of Sparta, GA; thirty-five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Janice Yarber, of Augusta, GA, Marilyn Yarber of Milledgeville, GA; brothers-in-law, Lewis Yarber, Phillip Yarber, both of Milledgeville, GA; one aunt, Agnes Ingram, of Milledgeville, GA; a host of nieces, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
