LeeVon Jackson Obituary

Mr. LeeVon Vontez Jackson, of Columbus, Georgia passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Piedmont Columbus Regional, Columbus, Georgia.

Graveside services were held on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at 1:00 PM from the Heritage Memorial Park, Milledgeville, Georgia.

Our beloved relative and friend LeeVon Vontez Jackson, or “Bink” as he was known by
his friends and family was born November 9, 1998 to Juvoski Downing and Rashidah
Jackson in Milledgeville, Georgia. Family and friends of LeeVon lost him in death on
November 14, 2020. Although taken from his family and friends to soon, his memory
will continue to live in our hearts forever.
From a very young age LeeVon displayed a love of learning. He was determined to do
well in school and make his family proud. LeeVon attended elementary and middle
school in Milledgeville, Georgia. After moving to Columbus, Georgia, LeeVon worked
hard to achieve one of his goals, that of graduating high school. He graduated from
Kendrick High School receiving his high school diploma. Throughout his educational
career, LeeVon was known for being respectful and kind.
LeeVon also had a profound love of family. He loved spending time with his siblings
telling jokes, dancing and eating. LeeVon was always the individual who kept his family
laughing and entertained. He also enjoyed playing video games, playing basketball and
eating his favorite food, chicken and Little Debbie Pies.
As LeeVon grew and matured he reflected on his past mistakes and worked hard not to
repeat those mistakes. He often expressed his feeling through music. He composed rap
lyrics (with his group “Gassed-Up”) that revealed his inner feelings; this helped him
reflect on his past and future. That self-reflection helped him to look at his future from a
different perspective. He became determined to make his family and others proud of
him and he wanted to become a positive role model for those who knew and looked up
to him. He worked hard to develop a good work ethic and money management skills.
These skills helped him assist his family financially. He became a father figure to his
younger siblings, encouraging them to stay in school and work hard to achieve their
future dreams and goals. Once he became a father, LeeVon again reflected on how he
could become a better man. He began to set new family goals for his son and girlfriend.
LeeVon leaves his dreams for the future in the hands of his brothers. May they make
him proud.
