Mr. Ledell "Billy Jack" Jackson, of Milledgeville, Georgia passed away on Monday, January 20, 2020 at Regency Hospice, Augusta, Georgia.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 12:00 NOON from the Holloman Grove Church, McIntyre, Georgia. Interment followed in Council Cemetery, Milledgeville, Georgia.
Mr. Ledell "Billy Jack" Jackson was born on February 8, 1958 in Toomsboro, Georgia to the parentage of the late Mrs. Albert Jackson, Sr. and the late Mrs. Carrie Bell Smith Jackson.
Billy Jack, as he was affectionately called, was reared in Toomsboro, Wilkinson County, in a community known as "The Pond".
Mr. Jackson was not afraid of a little hard work and was employed with the Fountain Paddock Mill and later at Central State Hospital where he retired. He had a fond love for sports and recreation. Baseball was his favorite.
With his sunglasses and hat on his head, he went to the local fishing hole. Ledell loved fishing and funk music. He enjoyed the tunes of George Clinton and his Parliament-Funkadelic collection.
Mr. Jackson departed this life on Monday, January 20, 2020 at Regency Hospice, Augusta, Georgia.
He is survived by his siblings: James A. Jackson, Sr. (Jeanette), Ezell (Anne) Jackson, both of Milledgeville, GA, Priscilla A. Jackson, of Irwinton, GA; aunt, Mary Jackson, of Milledgeville, GA; several other relatives and friends.
